Mike Ames
Chairman /

Mike Ames started his professional career in 1963 as a mechanical designer in Austin, Texas, in the early days of the high-tech industry. Later moving to Dallas in 1988, he went on to specialize in the acquisition, operation, maintenance or sale of over a dozen companies in a variety of industries. He remains active today in the search for business opportunities and serves as a consultant to business owners or entrepreneurs seeking to start, improve or sell their companies. Mike has owned a wide variety of cars over the years, from a Jaguar XK 120 to a number of Full Classics, including his Cord, Packard, Lincoln and Pierce-Arrow. He has restored several cars in the shop behind his home and has been honored with invitations to some of the most prestigious events on the calendar, including Pebble Beach. Mike was also a two-term Regional Director of the Classic Car Club of America, North Texas Region, and has managed several Nation Grand Classic events as well as serving on the exhibition judging staff.

Bill Mott

As a long time buyer, seller, and restorer of classic cars, Bill has been called upon many times to guide buyers looking to purchase a particular vehicle for their collection, or to appraise a particular vehicle and find a qualified buyer for it. His ongoing involvement with the many auctions, restorers, and dealers around the United States, as well as his long-standing affiliations with the most highly respected collector car clubs in the country including the CCCA, Early Ford V8, AACA, Jaguar Owners Club, Mercedes-Benz Club of America and many, many more, have resulted in his being retained by collectors for the purpose of locating or selling a special collector car and for the appraisal of collector quality automobiles for estate settlement purposes. He is also a highly qualified judge of both original and restored cars.

Roger C. Willbanks
Chief Judge /

Roger has been judging, collecting, exhibiting, and writing about collector cars for the past 25 years. He has been a longtime assistant chief judge at the Meadow Brook Concours and has exhibited each year at Pebble Beach approaching two decades.

He specializes in most areas of pre- and post-war collector cars, and some of his favorites include American and European classics and customs of the ‘30s and vintage sports and competition cars from the ‘50s and ‘60s.

Rod Egan
Car Selection Committee /

Rod has managed some of the largest auctions and collections in North America and held senior positions at a number of the world’s leading auction houses. Having sold over $3 billion+ of assets over the past 30 years, both privately and at auction, he is among an elite group of auctioneers to have overseen major asset transfers at that level. Rod specializes in the valuation of fine automobiles and is always accessible to collectors, also overseeing Worldwide Auctioneers private sales division. An avid collector himself, Rod has an extensive knowledge of pre-war European and American classics and sports cars. When not on the auction podium, you will often find him enjoying Concours and club events, road rallies and tours throughout North America and Europe.
